Glass is a relative newcomer to the art scene and here we have glass by Iris of Athens. This is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of glass with some of the most original designs and materials incorporated into it.

The glass itself has a clarity not often found in moulded glass, and the colours are significantly brighter than other types you may see. And it is not just coloured glass! Look closely and you will see that metal flakes, foils, and wire have been used to complete the designs.

We have deliberately taken the photos in sunlight to give you some idea of the interplay between light and shadow. Although you can of course use these for fruit or food, we think that they do best just as display pieces on a dresser or coffee table as it would be a shame to cover the patterns.
